So true. But, alas, due to the pernicious specter of political correctness today, Blazing Saddles could not be made today…………. How far a nation has fallen thanks to wait………………….., liberalism.

Why did the comments have to get all political? This scene is classic and y'all go start dragging Trump and Clinton into this lol. C'mon people, lets chill out a little.

I hadn't fully realised when I first saw this, but this is a very fine piece of acting actually. The way he is so fluent with such a long list ( a feat of memory in itself) is admirable and the technique of delivery superb. Bravo, Sir.

Insanely enough, there's a link to this clip on the Game of Thrones wiki's Mercenary page. Don't believe me? CHECK OUT THE LINK!

It's funny, Madeline Kahn is still back there this whole time … wish I could see her trying not to laugh at this long bit of amazing comedy ha ha!

I love the layers of comedy in this scene. Harvey Korman's character rattling off his long list of applicants, punctuated by rhyming and non sequiturs, while Slim Pickens has the visual joke of searching everywhere for his paper. Then, the two jokes each have a punchline one after the other. Mel Brooks is a goddamn genius.
