CUSTOM My Little Pony BON BON Sweetie Drops Tutorial MLP Toy DIY | SweetTreatsPonies

Hi everyone! For my next My Little Pony custom,
I will be making Bon Bon. As you all may know, Bon Bon is just her undercover
name. Her real name, Sweetie Drops, was revealed
in Season 5. Bon Bon shares her design with other background
ponies such as Shoeshine, Luckette, Lilac Links, Grape Delight, and Sunny Smiles. So, you can use the sculpting part of this
tutorial to make them if you like. Before I begin, I’d like to thank everyone
who watched, commented, and liked my previous videos. I’m not able to respond to every comment,
but know that I really appreciate them. Alright, so let’s begin! You’ll need a My Little Pony toy figure. Since Bon Bon doesn’t have a horn or wings,
it’s best to you use an earth pony. You’ll also need to remove her eyes, cutie
mark, mane and tail. You can visit my channel or click on the thumbnail
at the top right corner to watch how I remove the mane and tail. Once that is done, we’re going to start
sculpting her crest which is the back part of her mane. Start with a log of clay.
Taper one end. Now, curl that end by rolling it inward like
so. Make two more of these for the front part
of her mane but shorter. Press it onto the back of her head. Trim off any excess. Smooth out any rough or uneven edges. Attach the two shorter clay pieces to the
top of her head. Blend with the back mane until seamless. Let’s move on to her tail. Roll out three logs of clay. Make one log
slightly longer and thicker than the other two. Taper both ends. One end should be round and the other pointy. Curl the round end the same way you did for
her mane. And just slightly curl the pointy end. Do the same for the other two pieces. Now, let’s put them together. You should have something like this once you’re
done. That’s it for the sculpting part. Make sure the clay has hardened before you
start painting. Bon Bon’s coat is a light yellow color. I mixed Ivory with a tiny amount of Yellow
Flame to get this color. This is after a few more layers of paint. Bon Bon’s mane has two colors. I’m using a fine tip brush to create that
color separation you see in the image on the left. For the pink part of her mane, I’m using
the color Pink Parfait. I didn’t have to mix in other paint colors
because Pink Parfait is a perfect match. For the blue part of her mane, I mixed Admiral
Blue with a small amount of Granite Gray. The blue is actually darker than it is in
the video. It appears lighter in the video because of
the lightings I’m using to light up my work space. Let’s move on to her eyes. Now, paint on her eyelashes and two white
highlights and the eye is done. Do the same for the other side. Here’s her cutie mark painted on. Hmm.. Does her cutie mark look like three
candies or three bows? For her tail, I’m using the same paint colors
that I used on her mane. Her tail is now ready to be glued on. There you go! This Bon Bon / Sweetie drop
custom is now finished. I’ve also made Bon Bon’s best friend,
Lyra Heartstrings. To watch the making of Lyra or my other My
Little Pony customs, visit my channel or click on the images that are on the screen. Thanks for watching!

You make the pony's eyes look just like how Hasbro does it! You should get a job making My Little Pony figures.

did it drive anyone else nuts that she left the wig on while she painted the pony I understand why she had to do Big Macintosh the way she did but why did she do the main that way it's almost as frustrating as when cosplayers do their makeup tutorials with their wigs on almost transformation be damned when you get foundation in your synthetic wig

MLP rarely talks about Bon Bon. She's usually just . . . there. I haven't watched that many MLP episodes. And how do you know those super-minor ponys' names?
