David Bowie and Paul Whitehouse is the collaboration that should have happened 😢 – BBC

Because Paul, what was it –
did you know David Bowie? Um, no, I didn’t. I’ve always been
a big fan of David Bowie. I think, you know,
everybody talks about the, you know, reinventing himself,
Ziggy Stardust, Aladdin Sane, and then his soul period
but, for me, I think he was just a brilliant songwriter. I don’t think he needed to worry
about all that nonsense, you know? He was a brilliant songwriter.
But he was a fan of you? Well, I don’t like to name drop…
but I will! I read a couple of interviews
with Tony Visconti, and he said, you know,
he really liked the two shows that I’d done, and that is… Genuinely, I’m not going to
name-drop – maybe a bit… But that one, yeah,
you know, it was, really, you know, an extraordinary thing. But there was one character
in particular that he liked, wasn’t there? Well, I think, you
know, he did an impersonation of one character that I used to do, yes. This was the teenager? No, it was the guy who said,
“You know, everything’s brilliant. “You know, isn’t Graham Norton
fantastic? “You know, the way he just talks
to people is brilliant, “isn’t it? Just drinks his wine,
you know, and then pushes people “out of that chair! Fantastic!” I just used to do this character
that said everything was brilliant, you know, like, things are,
aren’t they, telephones? “Brilliant!” He was
a very enthusiastic character. But then, weirdly,
you probably know this exists, but there was a documentary
of David Bowie on tour, and there was, kind of,
you know, backstage bits. And there’s a clip of him doing… A really bad impersonation of me! How churlish! And here he is, doing
a very bad impersonation of you. It sure does. LAUGHTER That’s brilliant! That flashing badge is brilliant. You just stick it on your ear
and they go, “Wa-wa-wa-wa!” Brilliant. Fantastic! Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant! That’s an amazing thing to have!
CHEERING How cool is that?! Amazing. Really amazing.

I think it would have been better to show a clip of Paul's character in action/if Paul had done a better account of the character. This just looked like David B saying some things were fantastic, hence why I think the Americans sounded a little…insincere in their appreciation.

MORE than 3 million innocent Muslim Uyghur people men, women, old and young have been locked in concentration camps or so called re-educational camps by the Chinese government in East Turkestan since 2016 to indoctrinate the Uyghur people. What goes inside these China’s concentration camps is terrifying and outrageous. Please spread the news and raise awareness of China’s 21st century holocaust and ethnic genocide against the innocent Uyghur people. Free Uyghur! Please SAVE Uyghur!

I don't mind Paul Whitehouse, but it's always a bit cringe when a very British comedian is on with some American A-listers. The old fashioned British humour is totally lost on them.

02 seconds to 04 seconds and then 77 seconds to 82 seconds i think i appreciate the soul of Jennifer . In my opinion one of the her caratheristics (she isn't the only actress of this type , by the way , i think) . She seems original , pure
