I had to listen several times… to me? Phoebe Snow… ‘Poetry Man’? Does anyone else hear that tone; melodic riffs; quiet grace? Everyone coming to current artists; her quality is ‘old soul’… I’d love to hear her sing that cover… she’d definitely nail it…

Only Jennifer knows talent. The other judges thought she was black. All of a sudden she is good and improved when they saw her face. RACIST JUDGES.

With this song itself I have always had a different vision for it then what Jesse J did for IT! But NOW that we have this singer to calibrate with her on maybe a remix of it and to remix the video too! The room can actually start out as a black room and grow into a big white room with both artists and a break before the second versus to maybe hype up the beat with a singature rap beat and verse to it too! But hey! Just just my thoughts! With the wrong beats and the wrong rapper it will not work at all!!

I keep coming back here and I'm sure I'll never understand why she only got one chair turn. Really love Jhud because of this.

It pisses me off when it takes the judging so freaking long to press the button. They act like there impressed but don't press the button like tf

Such a beautiful voice, I use to work at a youth home and a youth said this was his favourite song and then a week later he took his life. I wish I could of done more to help him..

Kelly gave me fake tea here. She didn't turn around, but then she wants hoop and holler about how much she loves Makenzie's voice after she recognized her… smh.

She is one of those very few one-chair-wonder who made it near or to last round. I wish somebody will make a video of The Voice auditionees who only turned only one chair but made it to several rounds.

The comment of Adam about “her tremendous improvement” is ridiculous since I think the power and the magic of MaKenzie is obvious; they do not need any improvement. The only thing which needed to be improved in that stage of the competition was the capability of Adam, Blake and Kelly to recognise how much good MaKenzie was. I’m so happy that JHud was her mentor. ❤️

Judged were trippin. You sing that song that well and it should have been 4 chairs turning in the first 40 seconds

0:42 I would have turned immediately for that amazing transition. The other judges didnt deserve her. Kelly seems a tad jealous and insincere.

im thinking that the only logic behind not turning around for her was they maybe had very limited spots on their teams.

They knew her before her audition. I think that’s why they didn’t turn. If it was really based on THE VOICE they would’ve all turned! I mean isn’t that’s what the shows about?

I know why the other 3 didn’t turn their chairs around…

Cause they wigs got snatched when she started singing, so they couldn’t…

She has a great voice and an amazing technique, but she needs to find her own identity. Whe she sung Jessie she tried to sound like Jessie, when she sung Beyoncé she tried to sound like Beyoncé. This is the problem with today's singers, back then there was no YouTube, barely any reference, you had to create your style and make your own voice and when you sung everyone knew it was you.

I’m a Jessie J fan but MaKenzie’s rendition is sooo much better. I enjoyed the softness of her voice and how it doesn’t sound soo strained when she goes into those higher notes so effortlessly.
